Sorry everyone; Survival Instincts is closed. Izel is right; this site had it's good times, but no one is interested in it anymore. I may open it again, new features, maybe new animals, but for now we'll let it rest in peace. If you want your characters, bio, posts, graphics, etc, feel free to email me here:

Otherwise, good bye everyone.

The rules and extra information are located inside this board. Fail to obey the rules and there will be consequences. You should read over all the threads inside before joining, just to make sure that you understand how it all works here. Admins will constantly change and update the current rules, so you will have to keep checking back. Although, we will send out a mass pm to inform you of this.
Create your characters here. Using the biography form inside, start your character in a new thread. After being done, an admin will come by to check it. If it's acceptable, it will be accepted and you can start role-playing. But if it's not acceptable, you will have to re-do what ever isn't acceptable. Only once you are accepted can you role-play. To get the password for getting in here you must read all the rules and info.
Anything that doesn't relate to the ic world can be found here. This includes affilating and advertising. On the main board we allow for some randomness, but absolutely no spamming! Please remember to follow the main rules here, so we don't get into big fights or anything. Thank you.
Affilation & Advertising found in here.

Spread across part of the somewhat rocky mountainside, there are quite a few coniferous trees. Pine happens to be the most dominant, though there are quite a few others mixed within. It is probably one of the best places to go looking for food, next to the stream, of course. In the main area, the trees are fairly close together, slowly dispersing as it goes farther up the mountain, where things get rockier. There isn’t much for undergrowth here other than some scraggly patches grass.
Starting partially up the mountain, a natural stream flows smoothly between the rocks. The water is clear, fresh and untainted by anything, making it an excellent water source for any animal that calls the mountains their homes. In doing so, it also brings predators that come for both food as well as water. For the most part, the stream weaves its way through the forested sections, the grass and trees closest to it looking healthier than the rest, though it does make its way out of the pines occasionally on its path downward.
An almost crack-like opening on a particularly rocky part of the mountains leads into a large, dark cave. Outside the opening, there are quite a few large rocks, though the inside is rather empty. The dirt floor is pressed down from many paws, as this is a frequented place among the animals that have ever called the mountains their permanent home. All the same, some stories have found their way through the animals about this place and how dark and shadowy it is.
The deciduous forest is thickly wooded and in the warmer months proves to be nicely shaded thanks to the thick canopy of leaves overhead. The trees range from some maple to many oak and quite a few in between. The forest floor is also covered in quite a bit of undergrowth including berry bushes which makes the tigers fairly happy. There are no coniferous trees found in this forest until you get closer to the fire tiger territory, in the mountains.
Found toward the center of the land is a decent sized pond, fed by the stream flowing down from the mountains. Around the edges the grasses grow taller and are almost always green, except in the colder seasons. The trees come right up to the edges, not thinning out a bit. Thanks to the amount of branches leaning over the water, there are always things falling into it -- leaves, sticks, et cetera, making the clear pool rarely perfectly calm.
To the far side of the land, a small yet equally powerful river just touches their lands. It flows around a bunch of large, glossy rocks and straight over the edge of a good sized drop into the clear water below. Surrounding the pool-like area at the immediate bottom is tall grasses among small boulders and thick trees. The river continues on along the edge of the territory farther down and slips back out as quietly as it had entered.
Most of the neutral territory is plains as it isn't suited as a primary, single territory. There are slight indents and out dents within the ground, forming small hills, though nothing extreme. The grass is always tall and not particularly soft. For the most part, it’s a mixture of golds and greens, but in winter, it’s a solid, utter white expanse that can almost blind someone. For the most part, there isn’t too much to obstruct the plainness of these areas, except for maybe the occasional bush.
On the far edge of the plains, the tall grasses come to a rather abrupt halt at the edge of a small-ish lake. The placid water is rarely ever disturbed, unlike the pond in the water tiger territory, yet it is not quite as clean as either the stream or pond. The water is very deep and generally clouded, thus it is inadvisable to enter the water here, and isn’t the most frequented place for a drink. All the same, it isn’t terrible.
Toward the edge of the plains, there is a fairly small section in which the ‘few bushes’ becomes quite a bit more undergrowth and a bunch of small, scrawny trees show up. The place doesn’t have much of a purpose other than a tiny bit of shade for anyone who doesn’t quite want to leave the plains and venture into any of the main tiger territories. It’s not much, nothing like the forests in the two territories, but it’s something.
